In May 2016 Dragados Offshore achieved the completion of the Class C study for the Johan Sverdrup Future Phases: Unmanned Wellhead Platform.
The Johan Sverdrup Field is an oil discovery located on the Utsira High in the North Sea, 155 kilometers west of Stavanger. Phase 1 consists of four platforms that form the Field Centre. The concept based on an UWP for Johan Sverdrup Future Development is an alternative to the subsea tie-back concept and it will get all required services and utilities from the Johan Sverdrup Field Centre through an umbilical.
Dragados Offshore’s scope of Services covered design of the UWP and jacket, including design of temporary structures, equipment and systems necessary for construction, yard assembly, load-out, installation, operation and maintenance. The project has been the first Concept study carried out by Dragados Offshore, and part of our continued growth in the field of concept and FEED studies, consolidating our in-house design capabilities. The design activity has been furthermore supported with specialists from WoodGroup Mustang, Mareal Engineering, and Ingemation whose resources were integrated in Dragados Offshore’s design team.
