Dragados Offshore began its activities in early 1972 with the construction of the production platform for Shell's Amposta Field in the Spanish Mediterranean Sea. This Project served as the springboard for the opening of current yard at Puerto Real (Cádiz, Spain) which was built in 1975 on land reclaimed to the sea.

Since then Dragados Offshore has successfully developed a large number of major projects, such as Jackets, process, accommodation and utility decks, semisubmersible hulls and their decks, turrets and FPSO modules, load and mooring buoys, modular refinery plants, industrial equipments, etc…

Among the great number of Projects developed, which nowadays are closed to the hundred it is highlighted the singularity of the Offshore Regasification Terminal Adriatic LNG for Exxon, the Liquefield Natural Gas Plant Snohvit for Statoil, the production Complex AKAL GC and EPC 78 for PEMEX, the hull for the Semisubmersible Platform Snorre B for Saga, the Öresund Bridge that links Sweeden with Denmark and the Utility Module Scott for Amerada Hess.
