HOUSTON, TX October 11, 2007—Dragados Offshore de Mexico was recently awarded a contract by Bechtel - Jacobs CEP Joint Venture, Port Arthur, as Agent for Motiva Enterprises LLC, for Assembly of OSBL Piperack Modules for the Motiva Port Arthur Expansion Project in Port Arthur, Texas, USA.
The Module assembly includes among other things erection of approximately 3000 tons of prefabricated steel, installation of 220,000 feet of pipe, and staging for delivery by others.
Dragados Offshore de Mexico will perform the Module work at its Yard in Tampico (Mexico) over a 12-month period. Once completed, the Modules will be transported by others to the Port Arthur facility.
Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Motiva Enterprises LLC is a refining and marketing joint venture owned by affiliates of Shell and Saudi Aramco. These Modules are part of the recently announced Expansion Project at Motiva’s Port Arthur Refinery.
The expansion of the Motiva Port Arthur Refinery will make it the largest in the United States with refining capacity of 600,000 barrels per day.
Once again, Dragados Offshore faces the construction of an emblematic project for its Yard in Tampico, Mexico; and once again, Dragados Offshore will meet the challenge!
