R+D+i Projects
The most outstanding I+D+i Projects that have taken place in the last years are as follows:
1.Project for the Design, Construction and Installation of Offshore Wind farms.
The Renewable Energies are, with no doubt, one of the issues of the Future Technological Development, clearly expanding due to different reasons, but mainly from the Sustainable Development point of view. In particular, the Offshore Wind Farms are considered a key element for the future of Europe. Well known the offshore experience of Dragados Offshore, this Project consists on the Study of an Offshore Wind Farm in its globality, from its conception to the start-up.
2. Technological development for the design and constructability of a Vessel for the drilling, production, storage and off-loading of oil in submarine fields.
This Project started in 2006 with the development of a Basic engineering of a Vessel able to carry out the drilling, processing, storage and off-loading of oil in very deep waters and with very sever environmental conditions, and it ended at the end of 2008, with the development of the design engineering and a constructability study for the construction of the hull of the vessel and the Topsides in the Yard of Dragados Offshore in Puerto Real.
3.Basic design and viability study of a new structural configuration of Semisubmersible Platforms specialised in operations in Deep Waters.The main objective of this Project was the design and development of a semisubmersible platform with such structural and fluid-dynamic characteristics that would improve the proprieties of the traditional semisubmersible platforms. With the new development of the structure we wanted to achieve a better distribution of the loads and a decrease of the weight of the platform which would directly affect the total cost of its fabrication and operability.
This Project was co-financed with FEDER funds.
