Regarding technological innovations during the last years, the fulfillment of the specifications for the Öresund project demanded to confront important investments and more of a year of investigation.

For the attainment of the qualities and mixtures to satisfy the requirements of the contract for concrete more than a 100 quarries of national and European geography have been investigated and tested and more than 10 nonnormal tests in Spain were performed. Execution, commisioning, monitoring and control systems never used before in Spain were performed. All this were perfomed with own resources of Dragados Offshore supported in different companies and departments Dragados group.

On the other hand, and as far as the metallic structure is concerned, the huge volumes of steel to be handled and the high volumes of weld that incorporatedct in the project demanded a revision and a follow-up of improvement of all the productive processes. It is important to review that robotic welding machines were used for the increase of competitiveness and productivity.

Another important innovation in the yard in the last years and that is updated constantly, is the use of a network for computers that allows the exact knowledge in real time of the state of the yard in different levels, the control of materials, welding control, planning calculation as well as the progress of the project and the document control, among other functions.
