The market in which we develop our activity is a very demanding an highly competitive market that requires a continuous improvement of our Processes and Products.

Therefore, Dragados Offshore, aware of the importance and necessity of Innovation as a way to increase its competitiveness, is firmly committed with the encouragement of the Investigation and Development of new technologies from the sustainable development point of view.

As an answer to the value of the Technological Efficiency, since our origins, we have joined our efforts to the activities related with Investigation and Development, so we consequently count with a wide experience o the execution of I+D+i Projects, characteristic of our activity and also Projects related with the Information and Communication Technologies.

The execution of these I+D+i Projects have implied to the company a series of improvements related to productivity, quality and satisfaction of our clientes, safety at work, obtaining of new products and design of more efficient processes or productive systems.

We count with an I+D+I Management System with the following composition:

1.Study of Necessities (Signs Surveillance)
Exploration and research in our surroundings in order to identify signs of a potential innovation that makes possible the generation of new ideas. Among these signs:

- Necessities of different nature.
- Opportunities arising from investigation activities or from scientist knowledge.
- Adjustment to the Regulations.
- Behaviour of competitors.
- Exchange of experiences with other companies within the group,
- etc

2. Selection (To adopt a strategic answer)
Within this group of signs and new ideas, selection of those in which the company may assign and commit some resources.

3. Development (Acquire the necessary knowledge)
Once the Project is chosen, its execution by own I+D+i, by acquisition or transfer of technology or by mixed formules.

4. Establishment (Implant of innovation)
Follow-up of the different phases scheduled, from the development of the idea until de final launch as a new product or service in the external market, or as a new process or method withing the organisation.

5. Review and Improvement (Review of objectives and improvement of the system)
Review of the results obtained, identifying the problems encountered and redirecting the strategies if necessary.
