Dragados OffShore S.A. starts its activities at the beginning of 1.972 with a Platform for Campo Amposta (Shell), in the Spanish Mediterranean. Since then we have developed many projects, such as jackets or oil extraction platforms, utility and process modules, accommodation modules, turrets and FPSO’s , anchorage and distribution buoys, modular plants for refineries, industrial equipment, etc.

   Apart from large projects, like the Britannia Jacket, the biggest jacket constructed in the yard to date, with an approximate weight of 21.000 tonnes and a height of 158 meters, and the Öresund Bridge, 49 spans with a total length of 6,8 km.

  Dragados OffShore S.A. has carried out other minor projects that represent a challenge for a firm dedicated to offshore construction. An example is the "Cairu" FPSO Turret with a sophisticated mooring system to the sea-bed, consisting of the FPSO turning around the turret and getting orientated according to the sea currents or the wind, always keeping the safest position in adverse weather conditions.
